Meet The Chef
Born and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, Chef Signe Heffernan found her passion for mom & pop restaurants and a serious love for making sandwiches. After graduating from culinary school Signe spent many years working in sandwich shops & catering companies in NJ, Manhattan and Boston. Coming back to her hometown after several years In Massachusetts, Signe’s father, David Heffernan asked her to help with a cafe concept he had been planning for a few years. Together, father & daughter put their heart & soul into a “mom & pop” cafe, combining their love of food, art & eclectic finds into True Salvage Cafe.
